Writers Strike
by Carl on Jan.08, 2008, under tv, wga strike, writers's''s'
So a few shows have come back on the air since the writers strike began (now, is it the "writers strike" because it’s a group of writers on strike, or the "writers’ strike", because it’s *their* strike? I’ve seen it both ways), The Tonight Show, Late Show, Late Night, The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, and I’ve watched a few of these episodes and may have noticed a trend… There’s more commercials! I have no scientific proof to back up this claim, but I swear that there were much more commercial breaks now than back in November, etc.
Then I thought to myself that it could be due to a few things (if true):

So my new TV arrived Monday, and I wasn’t able to set it all up until tonight. I love it! 37″ LCD 1080p. Tons of inputs!

Show: Human Giant
by Carl on May.21, 2007, under general, good n plenty, shows, tv
Human Giant is a comedy show on MTV with Rob Huebel, Paul Scheer and Aziz Ansari (above). You may not know them by name, but you’ll probably recognize their faces. It’s probably the only watchable show on MTV, because I hate “reality” shows, and I hope most of you do too, but that’s a rant for another time. If you haven’t caught an episode yet, you should. In fact, you should stop reading this post right now and go check out a few skits from their website:
One of my favorite ones is Commercial Jingles, be sure to check out part 2 (at the bottom).
