Yup, yet another blog theme has made its way out of “that’d be a good idea” and in to “well, it’s about 75% complete, let’s post it, I’m tired of working on it!”

We’ll see how long this one lasts before I come up with something else :-/

Pseudo-Boss Mike is official up for the prestigious “Best Pseudo-Boss Award, 2007″. It’ll be a tight race, but he definitely became a fan-favorite when he dropped this little number at my desk. Way to be!

I hadn’t been to a baseball game since before I was of age to drive–so when work offered to pay my way, why not say “yes”? I was having a good time up until the point where clouds butted-in in the 6th inning–that was my cue to jet being that it was not a covered ball-park. When I left, the Whitecaps (my team) were up 2 to 1, and I imagine they held the lead until the end, but I cannot find the final score anywhere on the Internets… Poor Whitecaps, even their home page is 3 days slow when it comes to final scores… Oh well. The two runs they had were both home runs, very nice.

Noting my taste for macaroni and cheese with hotdogs, some guys at work bought me the fixins’ for it… Shucks.

So it’s going on midnight, and I’m still at work… Taking a short break to make a post to complain :p I got here at just a hair before 8am this morning… Oy oy oy, looooooooong day.

It’s not even like we have a deadline tomorrow–I’m just here plugging away, fixing up a crazy-mess of bugs (most not mine, thankfully). I’ve felt so productive, I just haven’t left in an attempt to not break the “roll” I’m on
The only downside to all of this–I’m salary :-/

[UPDATE @ 1:25am]Finally heading home

So the team and I work in what we lovingly refer to as a “war-room” environment–meaning that instead of us all working at our own desks on the same project, we book a conference room for the duration of the project. Well, every now and then we have to move from one conference room to another when another, more important event needs the space. The problem is that it takes a long time for us to tear down and rebuild our setup in another conference room.

After we move out, a bunch of local don’t-you-know-who-I-am “celebs” show up and listen to our press release. How exciting.

Went out last night to see a buddy from work play at a local bar–he was really good! He reminds me of Jack Black.

Since the place didn’t have my usual drink of choice, I switched on over to my *danger drink*, Captain Morgan’s and Coke, and it was good.  Had a new shot with some girls that were there (it was *very* good), but I don’t want to put the name here, so you can check out the recipe, if you dare! So it’s back. That wretched stink has filled the entire building again–sour dairy, dirty diapers, and fertilizer… It’s sad, I went to use the bathroom and after smelling “the stench”, urinal cakes had a more-pleasing odor, go figure.

The lights just went out at work, but my wall outlet and over-desk light still work… Weirdness.

So the other day at work, as I was leaving to go out to lunch with some co-workers, I made it into the lobby and whew, what a stink! It smelled like curdled dairy, rotten eggs and feet, a trifecta of horrific smells. Someone went to our front desk to report it, so they’d send someone out here. By the time we got back, the smell was still lingering, but not as bad as before. I never did find out what it was, but I really don’t know if I want to know… Ugh, nauseating.
