  • @chouse I’ve had better hardware utilization with Parallels. It may be imagined, but, it just feels faster, etc. I could be wrong though :) #

I’m not brainwashed

by Carl on Nov.02, 2008, under Uncategorized

  • I’m not brainwashed.
  • I’ve not followed all the lies/misleadings that I’ve read or heard.
  • I’m not a straight-ticket kind of person.
  • I’m not a tree-hugger, but I care very much about the environment I live in.
  • I’m not a vegetarian.
  • I’m not a minority.
  • I don’t envy my neighbor’s property.
  • I don’t condone terrorism.
  • I don’t think war is the answer.
  • I don’t understand shallowness.
  • I don’t understand intolerance.
  • I don’t understand why there is so much hate in the world, especially from religious groups. (“Us versus them” mentality. We’re all people. We all want to live. We all want to be happy)
  • I don’t always believe in “guilt by association”, especially when the association is very weak and/or non-existant or alleged.
  • I believe that Ghandi was on the right track when he said to “Be the change that you want to see in the world”.
  • I believe that news organizations are bias one way or the other, as a generalization.
  • I believe in helping your neighbor, and those less fortunate than yourself.
  • I believe that chivalry is not dead, just scarce.
  • I believe in moderation–extremists on any side don’t produce change.  An even-keel and understanding of both sides is the answer.
  • I believe that everyone who wants and works for a college education, deserves a college education.
  • I believe that children should have healthcare, always. They are our future.
  • I believe that woman are underpaid, and under appreciated on the whole.
  • I believe that we’ve lost a sense of the valuation of our elders.
  • I believe that those who do not have a job that provides healthcare, should get health care. (If that’s redistribution of wealth, so be it)
  • I believe that the free market has not held up it’s end of the bargain, and has proven it can’t run independently.
  • I believe that the government needs to join the technology age.
  • I believe that the government needs more transparency.
  • I believe woman have the right to choose what happens to their own body/child, even if I don’t always agree with the outcome.
  • I believe that my generation is being overlooked, and our true value is being misunderstood, and therefore, undervalued.
  • I believe the government should be more accountable for it’s actions.
  • I believe in a hard days work.
  • I believe that if you work hard enough, you can achieve your dreams.
  • I believe that someone who has come from nothing, and worked his way through Columbia University and Harvard Law, who believes in community organizers, made great strides in his first term as a US Senator and has a firm belief in change for the greater good, and has beliefs similar to my own has enough experience and positive goals in mind for my vote.
